    About Us

    Brenda Quigg

Saddle Up for Epilepsy is Brenda's brainchild and she is the Event Director and the driving force behind the event. A Clinical Nurse Specialist by profession, Brenda has a keen interest in cycling and has taken part in leisure events all over the country. Having being diagnosed with epilepsy and experiencing the lack of awareness that exists about the condition, Brenda decided to organise Saddle Up for Epilepsy to mark the first ever International Epilepsy Day, put epilepsy in the spotlight locally and support a charity close to her heart.
    Event Director - SUFE

    Peter Murphy

"The dedication of Brenda and her team is inspiring. They are rapidly making Saddle Up for Epilepsy one of our most successful fundraising events, with all funds going towards STEPS, our epilepsy-self management programme for people with epilepsy and parents of children with epilepsy. This new flagship service has already been shown to make a huge difference to the lives of people living with epilepsy. Not only that, the event is instrumental in raising awareness and improving understanding of epilepsy, an often hidden, misunderstood and stigmatised condition"
    Deputy CEO - Epilepsy Ireland
